High school students from eight districts come to Cuyahoga Valley Career Center to get hands on training on state of the art equipment to give them an advantage when going to college or entering the workplace directly after graduation. We use professional equipment like Avid Media Composer and Final Cut Pro Editors and JVC GY-HM100U and Panasonic DVX100A cameras. We take many field trips to places like WKYC-TV3 and Fox 8 as well as Jacobs Field and Quicken Loans Arena. We also have frequent guest speakers such as local filmmakers, sports videogrphers, and pros from local production companies. Our students have done internships and job shadowing with The Greater Cleveland Film Commission, WKYC-TV3, WVIZ, Creative Technology, Classic Worldwide Productions, Cuyhaoga Valley National Park, Cuyahoga Valley Church, WTAM Radio, and WKNR Radio.
