Lava Room Recording
Ryan Pennington, producer/engineer, gave the students a tour of this premiere audio studio in Cleveland and answered their questions. The studio uses Pro Tools and some of the same microphones like the Shure SM57 and AKG D112 like we do in class. Check out the Lava Room website.
This was a great field trip and it was cool to hear how they use some of the same equipment as us. I liked how they took us into the studios and explained some of the set ups they usually do. This was a great experience.
